myVillage X Food From The Heart 2021

Dear Friends,

At myVillage, we’re part of a community: we gather for good food, music and comfort from our hectic daily lives. 

But at times this year, it’s been difficult to feel close to the people and places around us. We’ve been pulled apart by social isolation. And it’s more important than ever to re-connect. 

That’s why I’m going to help with donating this year to local food charity, Food From the Heart, which reaches 25,000 people in need across Singapore. 

Singaporeans’ requests for emergency food bundles increased by a shocking 40% after this year’s circuit breaker. Even in our country’s food utopia, hunger is growing, and a lot of it remains invisible. 

I’m reaching out, as part of this community, to help those amongst us who are in need. I hope you’ll join me.

myVillage will serve as a collection point for donations this year-end, making it a breeze to contribute. Details below: 

Date: 1 November 2021 – 31 January 2022
Time: 10am – 10pm
Location: Level 2 Concierge Counter

Food From the Heart will get the most use out of unopened, unused non-perishable food items—items that won’t go bad during the distribution process. These include: 

• Staple items: Rice, pasta, instant noodles, cooking oil etc
• Condiments: Soy sauce, salt, sugar, cooking oil, evaporated milk etc
• Instant beverages: Milo, coffee, tea, chocolate, cereal etc
• Dry snacks: Cookies, dried fruits and nuts, biscuits, etc
• Canned food: Mushroom, beans, peas, sardines, condensed milk, fish, meats etc.
